15 In this episode I try to bring the question does God control everything to a finish.
While this episode doesn't claim to fully answer if God controls everything the Bible says in
Jeremiah 19:5 (they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind).
Jeremiah 32:35 is similar And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
I want to go on the record as saying this doesn't prove that God doesn't control everything but it at least makes you question if He does. My whole point is I believe it makes victims not kings out of any believer who is "waiting" on God to do something and when it doesn't happen then instead of blaming themselves for it not working they blame God.
I believe this is a damaging position for everyone involved.
I end this episode with famous scripture from Joshua 24:14,15
Now, therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord.
And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourself this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your father served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
